Encrypted Chips
We cannot simply remove the SSD (the chip where the data is stored) from the motherboard and read it. The SSD is linked to the CPU, Baseband, and other chips on the motherboard, and all of these chips need to communicate with each other for the iPhone to boot.
We can transfer the encrypted chips to a “donor board” (another working motherboard) or repair the existing motherboard. Usually, the easiest option is to repair the motherboard. In some cases (for example, if the motherboard is broken), it is necessary to transfer the CPU, Baseband, SSD, and EEPROM to a donor board.

Common Problems
Water Damage: Water, seawater, or other liquids can cause corrosion and short circuits on the motherboard. Repairing the shorted components or broken connections can restore the motherboard’s functionality.
Impact Damage: If the iPhone motherboard stops working due to impact damage, your iPhone has likely been dropped. Sometimes even repeatedly sliding the iPhone in and out of your pocket over time can cause problems on the motherboard.
Damage by Other Repair Technicians: This happens more often than you might think. Repair technicians may forget to disconnect the battery or handle components too roughly, causing fuses to blow or connectors to become damaged.
Design Flaws by Apple: A notable example of a design flaw is the iPhone 6 Plus “touch IC” issue and the iPhone 7 audio problem. Over time, these chips would become loose, which occurred frequently.
Short Circuits: Capacitors can spontaneously short due to a power spike. Using a thermal imaging camera, we can locate the defective capacitor.

Het Proces
Als je je iPhone wilt aanmelden voor een Data recovery dan is het proces vrij eenvoudig. Je vult eerst het Mail-in formulier in. Probeer zo veel mogelijk details te geven. Dit helpt ons om een goed beeld te krijgen van wat er met het apparaat gebeurd is. Vul ook de goede toegangscode in. Zonder toegangscode is een data recovery niet mogelijk. Binnen 24 uur krijg je van ons advies en eventueel akkoord voor het versturen van je iPhone.
Zodra je iPhone bij ons aan komt kan het data recovery proces beginnen. Dit duurt gemiddeld 2 tot 4 weken. Nadat we de fouten uit het iPhone moederbord hebben gehaald kunnen we een iTunes back-up maken van je toestel. Heb je alleen specifieke data nodig? Ook dit kun je invullen op het mail-in formulier. Het komt vaak voor dat je je iPhone weer kan gebruiken na de data recovery maar dit verschilt per geval. Het kan ook zo zijn dat je iPhone weer helemaal werkt maar dat er nog iets defect is zoals de camera. In dat geval zullen we je de keuze geven om het toestel voor extra onderdeelkosten bij ons te laten repareren. Het zou naar onze mening zonde zijn om iets wat nog prima werkt weg te doen.
Nadat de factuur betaald is ontvang je je apparaat en een usb-stick waar de data op staat weer retour.Er blijft bij ons 60 dagen een kopie van de data voor het geval er iets mis gaat met de toegestuurde data.
